Magical Midlife Retreats at Maison de la Roche

When a group of midlife women come together there is usually a story to tell. Whether they chose to share or not, we still shared a lot. There were tears but there was much much laughter. We all enjoyed a few good meals together whether they were round my dining table or out.

We experienced Yoga Nidra together which I wasn’t going to join in for fear of it being a bit too woo woo for me and guess what I LOVED it (I think, I may have slept, you are not supposed to, but I think the little snore was from me).

Reiki, Massages, the trip to the market was a highlight and the full day cooking and quaffing with Emma of @lamaisondurire was an absolute hit.

The ladies decided that a visit to the must see fairy city of Carcassonne was their last day wish and then back home to pizzas and Footloose (the night before was Top Gun..!) although some of the young 'uns, ie 51 and 53 year olds, carried on drinking outside their gites under the stars from my rapidly depleting honesty bar!

They have ALL said they are coming back so my October is practically fully booked.

So my next dates are April 17th - 22nd 2023 and May 22nd - 27th 2023.

If I have too many or not enough people for those dates or you’d prefer over times I can add other dates in during those months. To keep the costs low I am doing it outside the main season. If there are any that prefer June I can organise that but the costs will be more.

The itinerary looks like this...

Monday - Arrive, meet and greet (there will be wine and food)

Tuesday - Kickstart the first day with a walk in the beautiful Corbieres vineyards, stimulating our senses whilst being at one with nature. Lunch. Followed by yoga/pilates and lazing by the pool. Dinner at Maison de la Roche

Wednesday - visit a proper local French market and shop for delicious cheeses and olives and come back to a sharing lunch in the afternoon you can choose between a reiki or massage or just laze by the pool. Dinner out at a restaurant (cost extra)

Thursday - Cooking and Quaffing class with the amazing @lamaisondurire where you will learn about the wines and local foods from the South of France

Friday - free day - but we recommend a day out to Carcassonne , after a walk around, a spot of lunch back home for pizza, and wine and our farewell

Saturday - Home (if you have time visit the pretty village of Lagrasse in the morning).

Prices are £770 per person sharing a twin room or £825 per person for a double room to yourself. All gites share a bathroom. Prices are based on 8 women.

Spaces are available on a first come first served basis and a 25% deposit is required to hold your place. ***I strongly recommend for you to get the most out of this, come on your own, send your mate on the other date***

🥐 It was more than I imagined it would be; full of joy, laughter, the occasional tear with a little bit of mischief in between.

🧀 Here’s what I gained:New friends, new experiences, new adventures & lifelong memories, an inch or two on my wine waist, a new discovery & love of lucques olives

🥖Loved the amazing women on this trip. Midlife women really do rock."
